Play episode

This week, I welcome Eric van Uden of Solico on the show to discuss a recent news event in the Dutch suburb of Rotterdam where a runaway train was saved by a composite “whale’s tail” sculpture designed by Solico Engineering.

Founded in 1989, Solico is based in the Netherlands and is BeNeLux’s largest composite engineering company.

Eric and I will be discussing this story and their work in the original design of this sculpture.

You can learn more about them by visiting https://www.solico.nl.
