This week Bob Barsotti, the global R&D manager of Arkema joins me on the show to discuss their Kepstan® PEKK Resins. These polyether-ketone-ketone resins are made from a tailored combination of two monomers and are designed for applications requiring extreme performance.
Compared to PEEK resins, Kepstan® PEKK resins generally offer higher temperature performance, significantly higher compression strength, a broader range of tailored properties, improved barrier performance, and a better coefficient of friction control.
They are manufactured in the USA and France and marketed & serviced as part of Arkema’s High-Performance Polymers business unit.
