Developing Cutting-Edge 3D Materials to Replace Metal Alloys – Interview with Francesco Pantaleone of Roboze

Play episode

This week, Francesco Pantaleone of Roboze joins me to discuss their company and the latest 3D printing materials (PEEK and Carbon PEEK) developed to replace metal alloys in extreme applications.

Roboze was founded back in 2013 with a team of professional visionaries in the 3D printing sector with a passion for challenging design standards on a global scale.

Their mission is to provide the best professional 3D printers, for extreme industrial applications and to create competitive advantages in terms of precision, flexibility, personalization, and convenience for their end customers.

Today we’ll be discussing PEEK and Carbon PEEK thermoplastic polymers with Franceso. PEEK is a technologically advanced semi-crystalline thermoplastic polymer with excellent mechanical properties and chemical resistance in a wide range of conditions.  CARBON PEEK adds extra thermal stability and rigidity.

Adding selected Carbon Fibers improves the mechanical properties of the material and increases its HDT maintaining its properties even at higher temperatures.
