akrales_160615_1079_A_0019.0This week, we welcome Mitch Menaker, the Chief Sales Officer for Local Motors, a leading 3D printing vehicle company in the world. We’ll be discussing how Local Motors is reinventing the way vehicles are being made.  One of their projects “Olli” is the first 3D printed, self-driving vehicle to integrate the cognitive computing capabilities of the IBM Watson.

During the Grand Opening of a new Local Motors facility, the company unveiled this new self-driving, printed electric car made with CFRP. Between a quarter and a third of the vehicle was 3D printed, including the molds used to create it.

On this episode Mitch will be discussing the success that Local Motors has expereinced in printing vehicles, with so much of it being attributed to co-creation and an open source community of talented developers and engineers.
